The Fourth of July is next week and I'm sure there is lot of BBQs, fireworks, swimming pools and flags in your immediate future. While you're taking time to spend time with family, friends and celebrating America's birthday, take some time to download some awesome apps that will help you get the most out of your holiday. There is an app for just about every activity you have planned and but all of the ones I've suggested will help make this your best holiday this summer. Like many of the apps I suggest, they aren’t just made just for the Fourth of July. You can use them throughout the year.
1. Eventful. There are going to be plenty of Fourth of July celebrations this year and you can find out where they are on Eventful. Get a full list of parades and other activities in your area.
2. The Weber Grills App. What's the Fourth of July without a BBQ. Download the Weber Grills app and become the pit master you've always wanted to be. This app has dozens of recipes for cooking all kinds of meats, veggies, and fruits over open flame. Use the in-app timer to keep track of every main and side that's on the grill all at once.
3. The Liquor Cabinet. If want to make some awesome drinks for your Fourth of July party, this app will help. It features dozens of drink recipes with easy-to-follow directions. As a bonus, each drink recipe also comes with an interesting history lesson that you can use to entertain your guests.
4. iLightning Cam/Lightning Camera. Attempting to capture fireworks with your smartphone is an impossible task. Most of the time you end up missing the show trying to capture those stunning displays. Not anymore. Download iLightening Cam for Apple devices and Lightening Camera for Android. All you have to do is point the camera at the sky and the app will snap those fireworks photos for you.
What cool apps are you using this Fourth of July? Drop me a line and let me know.
